Multimodal Human Robot Interaction
Most of my research is related to the generation of behaviors for general purpose autonomous mobile robots. It includes the development of multimodal interactions with humans integrating gesture recognition, speech recognition and generation, or perception. I have actively participated in the development of Loki, a social robot, capable to help handicapped people, and Gualzru, a salesman robotic platform

Robot Vision
My research in this field is related to real-time object detection/recognition . In this field I have mainly used colour-based techniques for the detection of RoboCup goals, beacons and the ball. It also includes solutions based on evolutionary computation (genetic and memetic algorithms), fuzzy logic or bayesian networks.
